The Safari Experience in Zambia
There are many things to consider when preparing for a safari trip in Zambia. The country offers a variety of accommodation styles and types of activity. We have tried to give as much information as possible in this website about all aspects of holidays in Zambia but we acknowledge that we won't have predicted every question or explained every option.
Once you have decided on Zambia as a destination it is worth looking into the various destinations within the country. Of the nineteen National Parks in Zambia we have chosen to provide you with information on the four most popular - the South Luangwa of course as Zambia's premier wildlife Park, but also the North Luangwa, the Lower Zambezi and the Kafue National Parks.
In the pages that follow we have outlined a number of Zambian safari packages, many of which include other destinations in the country in addition to our camps in the South Luangwa. We have also explained a little about the different types of safaris that one can embark on.
Although no two days are the same on safari we have also given you a glimpse at a typical day on safari in the South Luangwa National Park with Norman Carr Safaris. You can read an account of a night spent camping between bushcamps as part of a tailor-made safari. We are now offering this "back to nature" sleep-out experience as an optional extra to our standard safaris - see our "Return to the Wild" safari for more information.
You can also look at an extract from our game sightings books to gain an idea of some of the game sightings typically seen from our bushcamps.
If you are interested in combining the thrills of a Zambian safari with relaxing through meditation and yoga, then you may be interested in our safari with yoga course.
The video clips that are included on this site will give you a good impression of what the safari trip that you are planning will be all about. We maintain that the better prepared you are for your holiday in Zambia, the more you will enjoy it. The section of this website entitled "before you travel" has been designed very much with this in mind.
So whether you plan to adopt one of the Zambian safari packages that we have outlined or whether you prefer to tailor-make your own safari trip in Zambia we hope that the information we have laid out for you will be of use or that you will contact us to ask for more help.
