New camp photos, VCT, trees and Obama
It’s "mid winter" here in the valley, the days are warm and sunny, the evenings and mornings cool and crisp. Gameviewing continues to be spectacular – you can follow the wildlife news day to day on our facebook page and on twitter
We have some great new photos of camps and staff which we are in the process of putting on to the website gallery – that should be ready next week but meanwhile here’s a sneak preview.

Nsolo Design Feature
They were taken by our great friend Patrick Bentley who is also a wildlife photographer of note. It's hard to capture the essence of our camps but we think he has done a great job, and he's also got some lovely shots of some of the new, very organic and natural design features of the bush camps.
June 30th was National VCT day and in line with the global effort to accelerate HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support Mambwe District held a Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) Day on Wednesday. During the event there were mobile VCT services on hand and NCS together with other lodges in our area sponsored SEKA - our amazing local drama group to perform.

SEKA drama drives home the message
The tree nursery
VCT is absolutely essential in the fight against HIV/Aids. If people know their HIV status it enables them either to ensure that they stay healthy or, if HIV positive – to plan for the future and to make sure they get on to ARV’s when and if the time comes to do so. People who are HIV positive can in fact lead long, healthy and productive lives if they look after their health, diet and lifestyle. NCS has been at the forefront of awareness raising about HIV/Aids and other health issues for many years.
The tree project is well underway with the first of the seedlings now having been taken home and planted by their proud new owners. The nursery continues to grow and there is keen competition now to become a member of the Conservation Club and attain the much sought after position of "Tree Guardian".
