We have been madly busy for the last week or so - all the camps full up with amazing game viewing continuing to astound us all. But even more excting for us was Aubreys triumphant return from Canada. We missed him so much and were thrilled to welcome him back. Here's just a sample of the pics from his trip. More to follow.

We'd heard news from SLCS (South Luangwa Conservation Society) over the last week or two of a snared hyena in the "wafwa" area of the park. Our guide John Kasonga (who is part of the carnivore monitoring team) and his guests spotted the unfortunate creature with a snare tight around it's neck, biting into the flesh. John contacted our wonderful Rachel at SLCS who came out with her team, expertly darted the hyena and freed it from the gruesome snare. It's wounds were deep and would definitely have killed it but after treatment with antibiotic injections and blue antibiotic spray - Rachel thinks it will make a full recovery and in fact it's already been seen since - hassling a leopard with it's kill up a tree!
