I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the camps. It is true that I saw 5 leopards, and was almost charged by a hippo; and that each night I was serenaded by the lions and the hyenas, and each morning I was greeted by the most beautiful sunrise over the ancient river or the vast floodplain. But what impressed me even more is the staff at NCS. Lawrence and Simon are wells of knowledge and wisdom, with stats and stories about every tree and every blade of grass, every bird and every insect. And Andrew should have his own television show about wild life and modern society, with the first show titled "Civet Droppings and Match.com", the second one "Constructive Destruction"!! Plus I don't know where the guy finds time to follow soccer players and teams around the world. I enjoyed learning from them, not only on the trail, in the jeep, but around the camp fire and at lunch, not only about the animals, but about their culture and their lives. Tara and Glenn are terrific managers for a first-timer and thoughtful hosts for someone away from home during a big birthday. The food and drinks were great and the cake was wonderful!

My husband realises that this gushing of mine may go on beyond the first day home but he's very happy that all worked out beautifully. We have you Mindy to thank because you provided confidence and assurance when I was unsure about this adventure back in June.

I'm attaching a couple of photos for you. As I understand bandwidth may be an issue, I will send some prints old fashioned way in a few days. Please give my best to everyone. Enjoy the magic of South Luangwa. Guard it for all of us.
